Quiet Woodland Studio ("we," "us," "our") publishes travel guidebooks and the free digital companion hubs that go with them, including the Yellowstone Bonus Hub at quietwoodlandstudio.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you register for a bonus hub, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
When you register to access a book's bonus hub, we collect:
We do not collect payment information — book purchases happen entirely through Amazon or your retailer of choice, and we never see or store any payment details.
We do not currently use analytics or tracking cookies on this site. If that changes in the future, this policy — and, where required by law, a consent request — will be updated first. See our Cookie Policy for details on the technology we do use today.
Where GDPR applies, we process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you check the required box at registration, and our legitimate interest in operating the service you signed up for (e.g. sending the sign-in link you requested).
We use a small number of service providers to run the hub. Each only processes the data needed to perform its function, under its own security and privacy commitments:
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We keep your registration data for as long as your account exists, so you can keep accessing the bonus hub tied to your book. If you ask us to delete your account (see below), we delete your data — we don't keep a shadow copy "just in case."
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents specifically have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion — and, again, we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
To exercise any of these rights — including deleting your account — email info@quietwoodlandstudio.com. There is no self-service "delete my account" button in the app itself; we handle deletion requests by hand to make sure it's really you asking. Once your account is deleted, you'll lose access to the bonus hub tied to it — you're welcome to register again later with a valid book access code if you change your mind.
The bonus hub is not directed at children, and we ask everyone to confirm they are 13 years of age or older before registering. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we've inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly — if you believe this has happened, please contact us at the email above.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the bonus hub after a change means you accept the updated policy.
